Shift Manager
Blue Springs, MO 64015

About this job
Description
Tim Hortons is one of North America’s most recognized restaurant brands, known for great coffee, freshly prepared food, genuine hospitality, and being part of the communities we serve.
Now, we’re bringing that tradition to the Kansas City area—and building a team that takes pride in the experience we create for every guest.
As a Shift Manager, you’ll lead the restaurant during your assigned shifts. You’ll guide team members, organize daily operations, support great guest experiences, and ensure our food, beverages, service, and cleanliness meet Tim Hortons standards.
You’ll also be trusted with opening and closing the restaurant, handling building security, and making sound decisions when the General Manager is not on site.
If you enjoy leading people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in helping a team succeed, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
Lead Your Shift
Direct and support team members throughout the shift. Assign stations, coach performance, communicate priorities, and maintain a positive, productive work environment.
Deliver Great Guest Experiences
Lead friendly, accurate, and efficient service. Resolve guest concerns professionally, support your team during rushes, and keep the guest experience at the center of decisions.
Own Daily Operations
Coordinate food and beverage production, manage breaks and deployment, monitor service speed and product availability, and respond to changing business needs.
Open, Close, and Protect the Restaurant
Follow opening and closing checklists, manage authorized keys and alarms, complete assigned cash-handling and security procedures, and ensure the restaurant is safe and ready for the next shift.
Protect Quality and Standards
Maintain food safety, cleanliness, product quality, and equipment standards. Communicate issues promptly, support inventory controls, and help reduce waste.
What Success Looks Like
We keep our operating philosophy simple:
People. Pace. Pride.
People
You lead with respect, communicate clearly, and help every team member understand their role. You coach in the moment, recognize strong performance, and ensure guests feel welcomed and valued.
Pace
You organize the shift with urgency and purpose. The right people are in the right positions, breaks and handoffs are managed, and your team delivers fast, accurate service even during busy periods.
Pride
You take ownership of the restaurant’s standards. Food and beverages are prepared correctly, the restaurant stays clean and safe, and opening and closing procedures are completed thoroughly.
What We Offer
We believe great restaurants are built by great people, and we want our shift leaders to feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow.
· Competitive hourly pay based on experience
· Consistent scheduling with a mix of opening, closing, and weekend shifts
· Employee meal/discount program
· Paid training and ongoing leadership development
· Supportive, team-oriented work environment
· Opportunities to advance into Assistant Manager, General Manager, and other leadership roles
· The opportunity to help build a growing restaurant organization from the beginning
Build Something with Us
We’re building our organization from the ground up, and our first Shift Managers will help establish the culture and operating standards of our restaurants.
You’ll have meaningful responsibility: leading a team, making decisions, and ensuring every shift reflects our commitment to People. Pace. Pride.
If you’re ready to take ownership of a shift, develop others, and help build a restaurant you’re proud of, we’d like to meet you.
